Job Description
Hire Resolve’s Client is currently seeking a skilled Product Costing Administrator to join their dynamic team in Durban. As a Product Costing Administrator, you will be responsible for performing administration functions that contribute to the profitability, business growth and sustainability of the Company. The main job functions include collating of information for quotation to customers and performing pricing calculations to achieve timeous submissions of various instructions and reports to management
Responsibilities
- Provide administration support as input into distribution of volumes budgeted for specific parts and components.
- Perform selling price adjustments in line with customer parameters (e.g., foreign exchange), licensor requirements and supplier submissions in consultation with the Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Record and control all request for quotations, collate information to prepare and submit customer quotations.
- Apply basic understanding of costing principles to perform various job functions.
- Perform amortization calculation of investment for various components.
- Record and track the approved price change notifications (PCNs) for customer pricing reviews.
- Collate invoices for all components to conduct FOB adjustments, verification, and validation with the Customer.
- Create cost studies to measure impacts of engineering changes.
- Work with Finance Department (Costing) to monitor and maintain gap between Annual Price Reviews (APRs) and forex
declarations for the Customer. - Compile Bills of Material comparison report when required by the business.
- Draw information from different sources and perform calculations to assist in margin analysis.
- Create forecast/Budget customer volumes and selling prices as per schedule issued by Finance.
- Recreate APR using the new JDE platform to verify the APR.
- Create a summary of cost studies for verification with the Customer and validate these studied with the Costing Department.
- Track implementation dates of Engineering Change Instruction (ECIs) and notify the Customer and provide support
documentation. - Receive quotations from the Costing Department and edit documents to meet the requirements of the Customer format.
- Perform ad hoc general costing and sales administration on request.
Requirements
- BTech/Advanced Diploma in Cost and Management Accounting or BCom (Cost Management major).
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years experience in costing within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to perform complex calculations using advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Customer liaison experience
- Experience in working within an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) environment.
- JDE system experience.
