About the Role

Hire Resolve, a leading manufacturing company in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, is seeking an experienced Punching Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the production of punched products in our manufacturing facility and managing a team to achieve high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the punching department
Manage the scheduling of production orders to meet customer demand
Ensure that all products meet quality and safety standards
Train and develop team members to improve performance and productivity
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during production
Maintain equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance
Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency
Monitor and report on key performance indicators to senior management

Requirements

Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work under pressure and maintain a sense of urgency
Knowledge of the Labour Relations Act (LRA) and disciplinary procedures
Experience in training, coaching, and mentoring employees
Solid planning and organisational skills
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
Familiarity with packaging processes and machines is a plus
Knowledge of printing and packaging materials, including papers, inks, and chemicals, is an advantage
Understanding of quality standards and procedures

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
Three years of experience in a similar role
Valid certification in a relevant field (e.g. mechanical engineering)
