Hire Resolves client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Punching Manager to join their team in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. The Punching Manager will be responsible for overseeing the production of punched products in our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in punching operations and a proven track record of successfully managing a team.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the punching department
• Manage the scheduling of production orders to meet customer demand
• Ensure that all products meet quality and safety standards
• Train and develop team members to improve performance and productivity
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during production
• Maintain equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators to senior management

Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain a sense of urgency.
• Knowledge of the Labour Relations Act (LRA) and disciplinary procedures.
• Experience in training, coaching, and mentoring employees.
• Solid planning and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Knowledge of change management.
• Analytical skills to interpret trends and draw conclusions from data.
• Experience in leading and evaluating team performance.
• Familiarity with packaging processes and machines is a plus.
• Knowledge of printing and packaging materials, including papers, inks, and chemicals, is an advantage.
• Understanding of quality standards and procedures.
