Job Description
A reputable multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is looking for a Senior Water Engineer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and professionally registered engineer to lead high-impact water infrastructure projects and mentor a dynamic team of professionals.
Minimum Requirements:
-
BSc / BEng Degree in Civil Engineering
-
Pr Eng registration with ECSA (mandatory)
-
At least 10 years experience in:
-
Water infrastructure and wastewater design
-
Water treatment plant design
-
Contract management (GCC, JBCC, NEC)
-
Report writing and tender documentation
-
-
Strong experience in:
-
Team leadership and work planning aligned with cash flow forecasting
-
Stakeholder engagement, including clients and contractors
-
Technical documentation for project stages: inception, design, feasibility, etc.
-
-
Familiarity with grant-funded projects (MIG, WSIG, RBIG)
-
Proven experience in:
-
Business plans, master planning (Water/Sanitation), WSDPs, NRW Management Plans
-
NRW and WC/WDM projects (advantageous)
-
-
Proficiency in:
-
AutoCAD, Civil 3D, iDAS, Wadiso/Epanet
-
Revit and Surge design software (beneficial)
-

Excellent communication skills in English (isiZulu is a plus)

Valid Code B (08) drivers license
-
Willingness to relocate to Durban
