About the Role
As a Centurion Bid Manager at Elchemie, you will play a critical role in securing major contracts for our organization. You will be responsible for managing the full tender lifecycle, from opportunity identification to final submission, and ensuring that all submissions meet strict compliance and procurement requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full tender lifecycle from opportunity identification through to final submission
- Conduct Bid/No-Bid evaluations and coordinate internal approval processes
- Develop and manage bid plans, timelines, and deliverables to ensure on-time submissions
- Coordinate with internal teams (Operations, Finance, HR, Legal, SHEQ) to gather inputs
- Facilitate bid meetings and ensure alignment across all stakeholders
- Draft, edit, and compile high-quality, tailored bid and tender documents
- Ensure consistent quality, formatting, and professional presentation of all submissions
- Manage and monitor online tender portals and respond to clarifications
- Maintain and update bid libraries, compliance documentation, and company credentials
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, or similar (advantageous)
- 4+ years experience as a Bid Manager or in a similar tendering role
- Proven experience within the security, facilities management, or regulated services sector
- Strong knowledge of tender processes, compliance requirements, and procurement standards
- Experience working with e-tendering platforms and online portals
- Excellent written English and document compilation skills
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management abilities
- High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Knowledge of security industry standards (PSIRA, PSSPF, ISO) advantageous
- Strong MS Office skills, particularly Word and Excel
- South African citizen
- Clear criminal record
- Valid License & Own vehicle
