Durban: Technical Specialist Maintenance/Millwright posted by Tower Group

Our client, a leader in the automotive manufacturing industry is seeking a qualified Technical Specialist Maintenance/Millwright to join their team based in Durban.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Education level: Millwright Qualification
• At least 5 years work experience (post qualification)
• Experience with PLCs
• Ability to work shifts, overtime, and stand-by as and when required

MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS

• Maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on robots, PLCs, motors, hoists, conveyors, and other plant equipment
• Monitoring production equipment condition and make improvements
• Compiling reports on departmental activities and performance
• Ensuring relevant ISO (e.g. 14001, IATF16949 etc.) requirements are met
• Create/maintain maintenance schedules and work procedures/ processes (including preventative maintenance)
• Conduct training on new processes/product introduction
• Participation in corrective, preventive and improvement projects
• Implement kaizen and cost improvement activities
• Participate in quality improvement activities
