About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our client’s team in East London. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing financial leadership and support, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, trial balances, and bank reconciliations
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries and daily data captures
- Develop cash flow forecasts and analyse revenue and expenditure trends
- Coordinate annual audits and ensure timely submission of statutory returns
- Produce and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses
- Monitor payroll processes, prepare wage summaries, and related reports
- Enforce compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and high standards of financial hygiene
- Provide ad hoc financial support and liaise with management and other departments
Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and statutory reporting requirements
- Minimum of three years’ commercial accounting experience
Qualifications
- BCom degree, accounting diploma, or equivalent qualification
