About the Role
A skilled Maintenance Technician is required to join our client-based in East London, supporting their food processing and manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous food manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on food production machinery and equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and basic automation issues
- Ensure equipment complies with food safety, hygiene, and safety standards
- Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime
- Respond to urgent maintenance issues during production runs
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
- Support facility maintenance (lighting, plumbing, compressed air, etc.)
Requirements
- Experience in industrial or food manufacturing maintenance preferred
- Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Ability to follow safety, food hygiene, and quality procedures
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
