About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the correct stock levels of components are maintained within set parameters, while also taking full responsibility for the continuous planning, follow-up, expediting, and controlling of components on order and in transit to the company until receipt in-plant and assembled into finished products. This role requires strong analytical and forward planning skills, as well as excellent decision-making abilities based on facts.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring the correct stock levels of components are maintained within set parameters.
- Planning, follow-up, expediting, and controlling of components on order and in transit to the company until receipt in-plant and assembled into finished products.
- Coordinating engineering changes for run-out and run-in components.
- Control and minimization of (potential) obsolescence.
- Liaising with local and overseas suppliers and service providers.
- Managing Imports and Exports.
Requirements
- Matric/Grade 12
- A completed Diploma or Degree from a recognized Institution, e.g. University, in Supply Chain Management
- Minimum 3 years Material Planning experience in the Automotive Industry
