About the Role
As a Sales and Purchasing Manager at Profile Personnel, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and profitability for our clients. This permanent position requires an experienced professional with strong sales management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for coordinating offer phases, negotiating with customers, and identifying trends in supply markets to inform purchasing strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct plausibility checks and prepare offers according to specific customer requirements
- Coordinate the offer phase and project launch
- Collaborate with other departments, including Customer Programs, CoCs, and Operations to ensure efficient processing of K1 and K2 projects
- Develop strategic customer relationships based on agreed targets
- Negotiate offers with customers
- Provide continuous project support from kick-off through milestone reviews to project completion
- Document project progress
- Conduct annual price negotiations and/or business plan agreements
- Support production plants and SHEQ in case of complaints, if required
- Prepare the company’s internal profitability tables
- Identify trends in supply markets and evaluate opportunities and risks to derive purchasing strategies
- Observe competitors’ purchasing strategies
- Evaluate potential suppliers, establish, and support them
- Negotiate with suppliers
- Manage strategic negotiations for international framework agreements
- Negotiate price adjustments
- Optimize the supplier portfolio
- Report on project progress and performance
Requirements
- Matric + Degree/Diploma (preferably in Purchasing Management or Business Management)
- At least 5 years of Sales Management experience in an automotive environment
- Strong business acumen with regards to cost consciousness and efficiency improvement
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong negotiating skills
- Knowledge in business intelligence portals and ability to generate own reports
- Advanced knowledge in MS Office programmes
- Excellent time management, people management, organizational, and planning skills
