East London: Stores/Warehouse Manager – Beverage Manufacturing Industry posted by Hire Resolve

Hire Resolve’s client is looking for a highly capable and experienced individual to join their team as a Stores/Warehouse Manager in the Beverage Manufacturing industry in the Eastern Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management, inventory control, and logistics within the manufacturing sector.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the day-to-day operations of the stores department in line with FSSC 22000 requirements.
• Ensure the stores department are clean, and organized, with raw material displayed according to company guidelines.
• Ensure and maintain accurate raw material inventory levels by conducting regular cycle
  counts and reconcile with the inventory management system.
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to inventory, deliveries, or store
  operations.
• Oversee the factory warehouse operations including the receiving of finish goods from
  production and the distribution of finished goods to the distribution centre, in compliance
  with FSSC 22000 requirements.
• Implement continuous improvement processes to enhance the factory warehouse
  operations and productivity.
• Coordinate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure that all documentation meets
  internal and external audit requirements.
• Train stores and factory warehouse staff on the importance of accurate record-keeping and
  document control in relation to food safety
• Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and provide feedback to stores and factory
  warehouse staff on their performance.
• Manage staffing levels to meet operational requirements, including hiring and training new
  employees.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues
  that arise.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree/Diploma in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 or more years experience in warehousing and inventory management, preferably in a FMCG environment.
• In-depth understanding of FMCG industry requirements for stores, warehousing, and distribution processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Valid Drivers license.
• Strong knowledge of FSSC standards and requirements and the ability to ensure compliance in all areas of responsibility.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across departments.
• Ability to identify issues quickly and implement effective solutions.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to make informed decisions quickly and effectively.
• Adaptability to changes in the FMCG environment and ability to manage multiple priorities.
