About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a dynamic and skilled Project Engineer to join their multidisciplinary team and drive key initiatives within the Electric Vehicles Programme. The successful candidate will be part of a pioneering research, development, and implementation team dedicated to contributing to a greener future.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting in the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Developing detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimates.
- Leading and coordinating technical aspects of EV-related projects, ensuring designs and implementations meet specifications.
- Conducting research and analysis to support engineering decisions related to electrical systems, power electronics, motor control, and battery management systems for EVs.
- Collaborating with internal teams, researchers, students, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project progression.
- Identifying and mitigating project risks and resolving technical challenges as they arise.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant engineering standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
- Preparing and presenting project progress reports to stakeholders.
- Participating in testing, validation, and optimization of EV components and systems.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering is essential. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
- Proven experience in project engineering or a related technical role, preferably within the automotive, electric vehicle, or renewable energy sectors.
- Demonstrated understanding of electrical systems, power electronics, control systems, and embedded systems, particularly as applied to electric vehicles.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, organization, and problem-solving.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools (e.g., CAD, simulation software, project management tools).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and present complex information clearly.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced research and development environment.
