Job Description

Warehouse Operations Management Develop and implement distribution and stock management strategies at branch level Develop and implement optimal fleet and distribution strategies Manage branch warehouse to achieve revenue and profitability targets Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly operational planning Manage receiving, put-away, inventory, picking, dispatching, and system alignment Ensure warehouse layout, equipment, and systems are optimized for efficiency Apply lean supply chain principles to improve cost, quality, and delivery Develop and execute operational strategies to support company objectives Implement reporting and gap analysis tools to drive continuous improvement Analyse branch data to identify improvement opportunities Deliver annual productivity objectives Use sales forecasts to prepare operational plans Achieve agreed KPIs across: People (safety, engagement, attendance) Customer Service (OTIF, serviceability) Business Processes (order fill rate, waste management) Financial targets (OPEX, inventory days) 2. Inventory and Stock Management Coordinate with Finance and Systems teams on all inventory processes Manage stock to reduce shrinkage and losses within KPI targets Minimize damages and implement corrective action plans Optimize warehouse layout based on throughput Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies Implement effective stock audit processes Apply security measures to reduce shrinkage Conduct daily root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies 3. Warehouse Management System (WMS) Oversight Ensure effective management of the WMS system Maintain accurate system data and daily balancing Ensure weekly system synchronization between WMS and SYSPRO Document all processes within area of accountability Identify system gaps and operational pain points Implement technology improvements where required Analyse system data to drive operational improvement 4. Staff Leadership and Management Monitor throughput rates and manage operational performance Ensure housekeeping and safety standards are maintained Manage staff performance, training, coaching, and disciplinary processes Oversee recruitment, induction, and deployment of staff Manage scheduling to reduce overtime and increase productivity Implement performance management, succession planning, and development initiatives Ensure legally compliant disciplinary practices Lead, inspire, and mentor team leaders Promote structured communication within the department Drive a growth mindset and high-performance culture Align team and individual goals with business objectives
