About the Role

The Stores Co-ordinator will manage all activities and staff in the stores and logistics departments, ensuring efficient operations and effective stock control. This role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing all stores staff which includes receiving, despatch, WIP issuing, pick slips and drivers
  • Establishing and maintaining inventory responsibilities including consumables
  • Receiving and dispatching stock to and from production in a timely manner
  • Preparing and issuing stock requirements timeously
  • Maintaining the correct bin locations for stock and ensuring actual quantities balance with the system
  • Administering all paperwork as per procedure
  • Ensuring minimum and maximum stock levels are maintained at all times
  • Managing stock take preparation and actual count
  • Controlling and managing vehicles and forklifts
  • Ensuring product/material are suitably packaged and marked

Requirements

  • Matric supported by a relevant post-matric qualification
  • Diploma/Degree in storekeeping, supply chain or logistics management
  • Minimum 5 years experience within stores
  • Strong technical and warehousing knowledge and understanding
  • Computer experience (MS Word and MS Excel)
  • Syspro experience in the WIP and Inventory modules
