About the Role

As a Warehouse Leader at Unique Personnel Ltd, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team to ensure efficient day-to-day operations in our warehousing department. You will be expected to conduct investigations and disciplinary hearings, attend CCMA cases, and oversee various aspects of warehouse management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct investigations and disciplinary hearings and attend CCMA cases
  • Monitor, train, and regulate employee performance to ensure results and deliverables are met
  • Oversee the completion of day-to-day tasks
  • Manage the team’s productivity and time management
  • Ensure standard processes and procedures are followed and that instructions from management are carried out
  • Prevent and oversee shrinkage and damages
  • Oversee logistics in warehousing and expenses in the department (e.g. overtime)
  • Oversee the implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Maintain accurate record of inventory and stock management systems
  • Stock control, quality, and including stocktake preparation
  • Ensure regulation of in-stock level complies with demand
  • Collaborate closely with finance on stock levels and orders
  • Engage in the forecast of supply and demand to obtain information useful in improving the continuity of supply chain
  • Develop inventory control models that promote lower cost of sales, shorter lead times, and reduced stock levels
  • Ensure Customer Orders are delivered on time
  • Supervise the maintenance of a warehouse and ensure proper arrangement of stock
  • Work alongside and oversee drivers on their daily deliveries utilizing optimal routes
  • Daily cycle counts
  • Enforce safety and housekeeping program on an ongoing basis

Requirements

  • Five years experience in a similar role
  • Minimum of three years experience overseeing staff
  • Excellent understanding of the supply chain
