About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially sharp Area Export Manager to join our team in Elandsfontein. As a key member of our export operations, you will be responsible for building strong customer relationships, securing new business opportunities, and ensuring smooth export operations while protecting profitability and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute action plans to achieve sales and export targets aligned with the company strategy.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new customers and markets across SSA.
- Monitor customer buying patterns to forecast demand and manage consignment stock effectively.
- Collaborate with Debtors to ensure timely collection of outstanding payments and manage high-risk customers.
- Maintain accurate export documentation, permits, and customer account records.
- Oversee governance, ensuring compliance with company policies, export regulations, and audit requirements.
- Strengthen stakeholder relationships, resolve customer issues within SLA, and ensure high levels of retention and satisfaction.
- Monitor team and service provider performance, setting objectives and addressing performance gaps.
- Contribute to financial management by assisting with budgets, cost-saving initiatives, and reducing operational waste.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sales and Marketing or related field (NQF 7).
- 6–8 years’ Sales & Marketing experience in a manufacturing environment.
- At least 3 years’ exposure to SSA export markets.
- Computer literacy (MS Office Suite, SAP, ERP systems).
- Strong understanding of export compliance, distribution processes, and market dynamics.
Qualifications
- Honours Degree (NQF 8) in Sales and Marketing or related field (advantageous).
