About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Junior Data Scientist to assist in the research, development and implementation of algorithmic solutions, with a focus on call-center operations in a regulated financial market. As a Junior Data Scientist, you’ll perform data analysis, model development and implementation, assist with practical MLOps and LLMOps pipelines, and contribute to the high-level AI and automation roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform meaningful and accurate data analysis on structured data using appropriate statistical theory
- Draft Product Requirement Specifications for model development
- Specify, design and implement data pipelines
- Work with structured data to develop predictive and prescriptive models
- Understand the importance and correct usage of evaluation metrics like accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, RMSE, etc.
- Implement monitoring and feedback loops for continuous improvement and delivery
Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong mathematical proficiency
- Excellent understanding of core mathematical and statistical concepts
- Ability to read published technical reports and infer implications in context
- Ability to produce high quality technical reports (LaTeX beneficial but not necessary)
- Basic SQL proficiency and understanding of relational databases
Qualifications
Engineering Degree preferred (BSc. (Hons) Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, etc.)
Physics, Computer Science and/or Mathematics background is also desirable
