Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Junior Security Supervisor to join our team in Franschhoek, Western Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring security systems, equipment, and procedures to ensure the health, safety, and security of individuals on our premises.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and monitor security systems, equipment, and procedures
Patrol properties, inspect buildings, and oversee surveillance equipment and access points
Conduct incident and risk investigations
Provide efficient service delivery to promote guest satisfaction
Supervise Security operations and security teams
Conduct emergency training (drills) for employees on safety and evacuations
Implement processes, policies, procedures, and standards to regulate security team activities
Conduct regular risk assessments and implement preventative initiatives
Reduce incidents involving the loss or damage of guest, company, or third-party property
Maintain strict confidentiality of all guests, visitors, employees, and company information
Promote and maintain compliance and awareness of health, safety, and security issues

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in security or similar working environment
PSIRA registered
Valid driver’s license
Firearm competency (advantageous)
Good communication skills
Critical thinking ability and observant of a situation enabling appropriate response
Working knowledge of management practices and principles
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Matric
Completion of formal education in security (beneficial)
