About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our client’s team in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, and preparing management accounts and financial statements. This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, has strong analytical skills, and can work effectively with clients.

Key Responsibilities

Processing and maintaining accurate financial records
Performing reconciliations (bank, creditors, debtors, and general ledger)
Preparing management accounts and financial statements
Assisting with audit preparations and supporting audit engagements
Handling VAT calculations and submissions
Supporting year-end accounting processes and statutory compliance
Liaising with clients regarding financial information and queries

Requirements

2–3 years’ experience within the audit sector
Degree or Diploma in Accounting/Finance (beneficial)
Solid understanding of accounting principles and reporting standards
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Ability to work independently and within a team
