About the Role
The successful candidate will be employed by Tolcon Group to work as an Auxiliary Toll Collector in Gauteng. This role involves working on shift rotating basis in an office environment, interacting with road users, and performing various administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow start of shift procedure.
- Use toll and lane equipment as prescribed.
- Classify vehicles as prescribed.
- Process all transactions as per the prescribed methods of payment.
- Report all incidents, violations, and malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor in the prescribed manner and recording of such.
- Handle cash and other documents in the prescribed manner.
- Follow end of shift procedure.
- Ensure toll booth is clean and tidy at all times.
- Ensure self person is neat and presentable while at work.
- Maintain excellent relations with road users.
- Comply with health and safety and security procedures at work.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Proven experience as a cashier in a user relations environment
- Good communication skills
- Fluent in English
- Excellent interpersonal relationship and conflict management experience
- The ability to deal with road users in a friendly and efficient manner
- Excellent numeracy skills
- Basic computer literacy
- High sense of integrity and trustworthiness
