The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving aggressive sales growth in the African market, with a primary focus on English-speaking countries. This includes developing and executing strategic sales campaigns, cultivating a strong sales pipeline, and establishing and nurturing business-to-business relationships. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, analytical, and experienced in the industrial automation IT and related infrastructure solutions industry. They must be a skilled negotiator, an excellent communicator, and possess the necessary qualifications to operate effectively across the African continent. Qualifications & ExperienceEducational background:Essential: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, or a related field.Desirable: A Diploma or N+ Course.Professional experience:Minimum of 5 years of business development, sales, or market expansion experience, with a specific focus on the African continent.At least 2 years of verifiable sales experience, with a proven track record of developing new business and client relationships in Africa.Experience in tenders, export, and engineering processes and documentation.Industry-specific knowledge:Some knowledge of the Industrial Automation IT industry and related infrastructure solutions.Familiarity with Smart Grid applications (e.g., renewable energy, substation transition, distribution).Knowledge of Power over Ethernet (PoE) based solutions.
