About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented candidate to assist with various legal processes, including drafting documents, managing deceased estates, and communicating with clients and institutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the administration of deceased estates.
- Draft legal documents including summons and notices.
- Prepare liquidation and distribution accounts.
- Draft and review wills and trusts.
- Serve legal documents at the Sheriff’s office.
- Lodge claims with the Road Accident Fund (RAF).
- Submit documents to the Master of the High Court.
- Advertise deceased estates in the Government Gazette and newspapers.
- Ensure compliance with the Administration of Estates Act 66 of 1965.
- Communicate with clients and provide updates on case progress.
- Accompany clients to expert assessments.
- Request and manage hospital records.
- Upload legal documents on Case Lines.
- Create and manage cases on Court Online.
- Conduct legal research.
- Complete RAF forms.
- Handle correspondence with banks and other institutions.
- Open and maintain physical client files.
- Organize and manage file referencing systems.
Requirements
- South African unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
- Must not have participated in the YES programme before.
- Matric.
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB).
