Gauteng: Creditors Clerk posted by Network Finance

Our client is a well-established logistics company based on the East Rand, known for reliability, efficiency, and long-standing industry relationships. They are seeking a Creditors Clerk who will own the end-to-end accounts payable function, ensure accurate processing of supplier invoices, manage reconciliations, and support the finance team with reporting and month-end requirements.

This role is ideal for someone who is organised, meticulous, and confident engaging with suppliers while working within a high-volume logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full Creditors (AP) function from invoice processing to payment
• Match, batch, and code invoices accurately
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve outstanding queries promptly
• Prepare weekly and monthly payment runs
• Maintain accurate supplier accounts and updated records
• Ensure adherence to payment terms and internal controls
• Support month-end processes, including accruals and AP reporting
• Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve discrepancies
• Monitor price variances, PODs, and logistics-related documentation where required
• Assist with finance admin and ad-hoc tasks as needed

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• 3–5 years proven experience as a Creditors Clerk or in accounts payable
• Strong experience with reconciliations and high-volume invoice processing
• Previous exposure to logistics, supply chain, or transport environments is advantageous
• Proficient in accounting systems (e.g., Sage, Pastel, SAP or similar)
• Solid Excel skills and comfort working with numerical data
• Excellent communication skills and confidence liaising with suppliers
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A finance or accounting certificate/qualification is beneficial
