Duties:

• Work closely with internal auditors and business stakeholders to understand audit objectives and translate them into actionable data analysis procedures.
• Design and execute data analytics and trend analyses to identify risks, control gaps, and areas for improvement in governance and internal controls.
• Assess the effectiveness of business and audit processes through data analytics, recommending process optimizations to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity.
• Support the implementation of a continuous auditing framework using data analytics to strengthen internal audit coverage.
• Develop dashboards and visualisations to improve reporting, focus assurance efforts, and provide clear insights.
• Prepare working papers, data dictionaries, and supporting documentation for all data analytics activities.
• Ensure high-quality execution and reporting of data analytics deliverables.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and frameworks that guide data analytics initiatives within Internal Audit.
• Communicate complex, data-driven insights and recommendations effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field

Experience:

• 4 – 6 years of hands-on experience in data analytics, with exposure to the eCommerce industry.
• Proven experience collaborating within cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives.
• Strong ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, consistently delivering results on time and within scope.
• Strong understanding of data privacy, integrity, and regulatory compliance frameworks (such as SOX and GDPR).
• Proficient in Business Intelligence tools, including Power BI.
• Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and high-quality outputs in all deliverables.
• Demonstrated adaptability in fast-paced and evolving environments, maintaining effectiveness under changing priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft SQL, Python, and Alteryx (including tools such as SSIS and SSRS).
• Solid understanding of auditing principles, requirements, and methodologies.
