About the Role
BevCo is seeking Market Development Representatives to join our team in Gauteng, responsible for developing and managing informal retail relationships. The ideal candidate will have intimate knowledge of the geography and informal retail dynamics, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively engage and open relationships with outlets on behalf of BevCo (against set call rate and conversion targets)
- Build and retain an active base of informal retail clients and constantly service that base weekly/monthly
- Facilitate informal retailers to direct BevCo purchases from local wholesalers, bulk breakers, and/or distributors
- Ensure company assets (refrigeration; signage) are managed per BevCo governance requirements
- Actively support the sales and distribution targets into informal retail (pull) from local wholesalers, bulk breakers, distributors for the area
- Assist in execution of the marketing plan for the area as required (incl activations, promotions, fridges, POSM)
- Ensure BevCo merchandising and pricing compliance standards are sustained (in conjunction with GT rep as relevant)
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric / NQF level 4
- Up to 2 years’ experience in FMCG or sales
- Basic knowledge of PC
Qualifications
- Completed Grade 12/Matric/NQF level 4
- 2 years’ experience in Operational Execution FMCG
