About the role:
The Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and suppliers. This role involves managing the front desk, handling all incoming calls, coordinating office communication, and providing general administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 (essential).
- A certificate or diploma in Office Administration or Secretarial Studies (advantageous).
- 1–3 years of proven experience in a receptionist or front office role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Fluent in English & Afrikaans
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls promptly and efficiently.
- Manage the reception area to ensure it is tidy and presentable at all times.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and courier deliveries.
- Schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, and boardroom bookings.
- Maintain visitor logs and issue visitor access badges.
- Provide administrative support to management and staff as required.
- Assist with data capturing, filing, photocopying, and scanning of documents.
- Manage office supplies, stationery, and refreshments inventory.
- Handle basic inquiries from clients, suppliers, and the general public.
- Support HR or finance departments with general admin tasks when needed.
