About the Role
IntelliStaff is seeking an experienced Security Manager to oversee our security operations in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of security personnel, developing and implementing security policies, and ensuring compliance with Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all on-site guarding operations and security personnel.
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments.
- Investigate incidents and ensure proper reporting and corrective action.
- Supervise and manage control room operations (CCTV, access control, alarms).
- Ensure 24/7 monitoring and response readiness.
- Maintain accurate incident logs and reporting systems.
- Ensure all surveillance and security systems are fully operational and maintained.
- Lead emergency preparedness planning (fire drills, evacuation procedures, etc.).
- Manage security staff scheduling, performance, and discipline.
- Conduct training and toolbox talks.
- Liaise with external security providers, contractors, and law enforcement where necessary.
- Manage security budgets and resource allocation.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- PSIRA Grade A certification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior security management role
- Experience managing control room operations and CCTV systems
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
- Valid driver’s license
