• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for HVAC installations, upgrades, and maintenance projects.
• Analyse tender documentation, specifications, and engineering drawings.
• Conduct site visits and assessments to ensure correct scoping of work.
• Work closely with engineering, design, and procurement teams to compile competitive proposals.
• Source material and equipment pricing from suppliers and negotiate best value.
• Prepare BOQs, cost breakdowns, and tender submissions.
• Identify risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving strategies.
• Support project handover to operations once work is awarded.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry pricing, trends, and standards.

 
Requirements

• National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering (advantageous).
• Minimum 5–8 years experience as an Estimator within the HVAC or mechanical services industry.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ducting, piping, and mechanical installations.
• Proven track record preparing estimates for commercial & industrial projects.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, estimation software, and reading technical drawings.
