About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Training & Development Manager to join our team in Pomona, Gauteng. As a key member of our security operations, you will play a critical role in improving operational readiness and compliance. With 5-7+ years of experience in Training & Development, you have a proven track record of developing and implementing structured training and development strategies that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a structured training and development strategy aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct training needs analyses across security and facilitation operations
  • Design, deliver, and oversee training programmes (classroom, practical, on-site, and refresher training)
  • Manage onboarding and induction programmes to ensure new security staff meet operational and compliance standards
  • Ensure full compliance with PSIRA, SETA, Department of Labour, BCEA, and OHSA requirements
  • Coordinate and manage SETA-accredited training, learnerships, and skills development initiatives
  • Maintain accurate training records, attendance registers, assessments, and reporting
  • Implement talent development, succession planning, and skills upliftment initiatives
  • Liaise closely with Operations, HR, and external training providers to align training with operational needs
  • Monitor training effectiveness and continuously improve learning outcomes

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years’ proven experience in Training & Development, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
  • Strong experience within the Security industry is essential (facilitation/facilities exposure advantageous)
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Training & Development, Industrial Psychology, or Security Management
  • PSIRA registration (Grade B or higher preferred)
  • ETDP SETA Assessor/Moderator registration advantageous
  • Solid understanding of security operations, compliance standards, and client service requirements
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and leadership skills
  • High attention to detail with strong administrative and reporting capability
