Job Summary

An accounting firm in George is looking for a Bookkeeper (up to Trial Balance) with Tax Administration experience. The candidate must working experience and knowledge in Bookkeeping and Tax Administration.

Salary:

R15 000 CTC (R12 000 NETT salary) Key

Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping and Financial Record Maintenance: Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process. Reconcile sales taxes, payroll taxes, and bank accounts at the end of each month. Monitor financial transactions and reports. Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions. Ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date. Trial Balance Preparation: Prepare trial balances from the general ledger. Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and other reports. Identify, investigate, and rectify discrepancies in trial balances. Tax Administration: Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Handle correspondence and inquiries from tax authorities. Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and advise management on the impact. Prepare supporting documentation and reports for tax filings. Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing relevant financial documents and explanations. Prepare audit schedules and provide requested information to auditors. Financial Analysis and Reporting: Provide regular reports on financial status and variances to management. Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost savings.
