About the Role
As a Project Manager at The Talent Room, you will be responsible for leading the planning and execution of projects, defining scope, goals, and deliverables. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of projects
- Define project tasks, resource requirements, and timelines
- Assemble, coordinate, and manage project teams and subcontractors
- Ensure efficient allocation of resources
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures
- Schedule timelines and milestones to ensure on-time delivery
- Implement cost control measures to avoid overruns
- Track deliverables using appropriate tools
- Provide guidance and support to the team
- Manage project changes and interventions to achieve desired outputs
- Implement and enforce quality assurance protocols
- Monitor progress and report regularly to stakeholders
- Present issues and solutions clearly and effectively
- Conduct post-project evaluations and performance assessments
- Ensure completion criteria, including Certificates of Compliance (COC), are met
- Handover project documentation, O&M manuals, and release resources
Requirements
- Proven experience in electrical contracting or construction project management
- Registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) or a valid PMP certification is highly advantageous
- Strong understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act
- Excellent leadership, planning, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Qualifications
No formal education or certifications are required for this role. However, registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) or a valid PMP certification is highly advantageous.
