Storeroom Supervisor George Job Specification Role Purpose To oversee and manage all storeroom and warehouse operations to ensure accurate inventory control, efficient distribution of automotive parts, and optimal operational performance aligned with company targets and standards. Storeroom & Warehouse Operations Management Manage daily storeroom operations including receiving, binning, picking, packing and dispatch Implement and maintain efficient stock control and storage systems Ensure warehouse layout and processes optimise efficiency and throughput Develop and implement stock and distribution strategies at branch level Monitor operational performance and productivity against targets Analyse operational data to identify improvement opportunities Ensure achievement of service, cost and performance KPIs Align storeroom operations with sales forecasts and demand requirements 2. Inventory Control & Stock Management Ensure accurate stock levels and minimise shrinkage and losses Conduct and oversee cycle counts and stock audits Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies Implement stock loss and damage prevention measures Optimise storage layout based on stock movement and demand Maintain accurate inventory reporting and records Perform root cause analysis on stock variances 3. Systems & Data Management Ensure effective use and accuracy of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) Maintain system data integrity and daily balancing Ensure system alignment between WMS and ERP/SYSPRO Identify system gaps and operational improvement opportunities Support implementation of warehouse technologies and tracking tools Maintain documented processes and procedures 4. Staff Leadership & Supervision Supervise and coordinate storeroom staff activities and performance Monitor productivity and address performance gaps Conduct performance reviews, coaching and training Manage discipline and ensure labour law compliance Ensure optimal staff utilisation and scheduling Drive teamwork, accountability and a performance culture Ensure housekeeping, safety and operational standards compliance Support recruitment, onboarding and development of staff Performance Measures Inventory accuracy and shrinkage levels Order fulfilment and service levels Productivity and throughput Cost control and waste reduction Staff performance and engagement Operational compliance and safety
