About the Role
As a Junior Buyer at Marcopolo South Africa, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain. Your primary objective will be to reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) while maintaining internal customer satisfaction. You will work closely with suppliers to appoint and manage their performance, conduct studies for new product development, and minimize supply risk.

- Risk Analysis about the Supply Chain
- Establish and Analyze supplier performance

- Spend Analysis
- Adopt and improve on the Purchasing Intelligence Manual
- Establish synergy in negotiations with suppliers and purchasing affiliates
- Assist other affiliates in solving sourcing problems
- Researching and prospecting for new global suppliers
- Manage the purchase to pay cycle
- Ensuring the Purchasing ISO standards requirements are met
Requirements
- Diploma in Supply Chain/Logistics/Procurement or CIPS Diploma
- 1-3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or buying support
- Computer literate with good working knowledge of Excel and procurement systems
- Strong communication skills when dealing with suppliers and internal teams
