About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Millwright to join their team in Germiston, with experience in concrete manufacturing being highly advantageous. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production output, maintaining electrical/electronic equipment, and ensuring maximum efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and motivate the workforce to achieve the best utilisation and efficiency of the plant and materials, producing high-quality products.
- Ensure proper raw material control and monitoring to achieve economical usage throughout the production process.
- Maintain machines in working order, performing preventative maintenance to avoid downtime.
- Effectively maintain all electrical and mechanical equipment on various sections and divisions.
- Maintain electrical/electronic equipment to the highest working and safety standards.
- Responsible for the maintenance of curing equipment.
- Ensure minimum downtime as a result of electrical breakdowns.
- Perform fault finding to identify and resolve issues.
- Monitor machine settings to avoid raw material losses.
- Provide accurate daily production statistics.
- Control maintenance stores and related purchasing.
- Order and receive raw materials, electrical spares, and equipment.
- Train, equip, support, and focus on the talents of all employees under your control.
Requirements
- Qualified Millwright – Trade Test
- Minimum 3 years working experience in a Manufacturing Industry (Production environment)
- PLC experience will be an advantage.
- Competent to work on both HT and LT electrical supplies.
- Excellent communication skills with all levels.
- Strong interpersonal skills, objective, and analytical.
Qualifications
- Completed Trade Test in Millwrighting
Salary & Benefits
Basic Salary = R 23 000 – R 25 000 per month. Pension fund/ Medical aid
