Hermanus: Copywriter

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Copywriter to join our team in Hermanus, Western Cape. As a key member of our content creation team, you will be responsible for crafting compelling and informative content that builds trust with clients and supports our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and refine content across various channels, including blogs, articles, newsletters, client emails, social media content, video scripts, and presentations.
• Simplify complex financial, tax, and exchange control concepts into plain language for clients.
• Ensure all content aligns with brand tone, compliance requirements, and remains accurate and up-to-date.
• Engage with audiences on platforms like LinkedIn and Facebook, responding to comments and messages, and managing online communities professionally.
• Escalate sensitive or technical queries to the right internal teams as needed.
• Collaborate with marketing, advisory, and operations teams to support campaigns, launches, and client communication.
• Track content performance and refine messaging based on what works.

Requirements

• A qualification in Communications, Journalism, English, or similar.
• Around 35 years of experience in copywriting or content creation (financial services experience is a strong advantage).
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Confidence managing social media engagement and online communities.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability.
