About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Head Instructor to join our reputable field guide training facility based in Hoedspruit, Limpopo. As a seasoned field guide with a strong passion for conservation and education, you will have the opportunity to lead and inspire in a premier wilderness training environment. With multiple site placements available across Karongwe, Timbavati, Pridelands, Makuleke, and other locations as required, this is an exceptional leadership opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the general management and day-to-day operations of training camps
- Plan and manage infrastructure, vehicle, and equipment maintenance
- Maintain full responsibility for the safety, maintenance, and compliance of firearms and ammunition
- Liaise with Reserve Management regarding operational and concession-related matters
- Provide leadership and mentorship to Camp Coordinators, cooks, cleaners, and volunteer/work-placement students
- Deliver inspirational and immersive learning experiences to course participants
- Plan and facilitate daily schedules, educational bush walks, lectures, and practical assessments
- Ensure all academic and administrative requirements are met in line with curriculum standards
Requirements
- FGASA NQF 4 certification
- FGASA Professional Field Guide and Professional Trails Guide qualifications
- VPDA Qualification
- Advanced Rifle Handling (or close to achieving)
- 5 to 10 years of industry experience
- Current FGASA Membership
- Valid NDT Registration
- Valid PDP

Salary & Benefits
Salary: R24,000 – R27,000 per month (CTC negotiable based on qualifications and experience).
