Position: Regional Sales Manager Western Cape Location: Cape Town, Western Cape Reports to: National Sales Manager Direct Reports: Sales Representatives, Merchandisers (as applicable) Purpose of the Role To drive sales, distribution, and market share growth across the assigned region while managing and developing relationships with key strategic customers. Regional Sales & Distribution (4050%) Lead and manage the regional sales team to achieve volume, revenue, and coverage targets. Ensure effective product distribution, visibility, and compliance with in-store execution standards. Monitor regional sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity. Conduct regular trade visits to support and coach the sales team. Manage regional budgets, expenses, and promotional spend. 2. Key Account Management (4050%) Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers in the region (e.g., major retailers, distributors, wholesalers). Act as the first point of escalation for account-related issues. Develop tailored growth strategies for top accounts. 3. Provide market intelligence and customer insights to inform product launches and campaigns. Align regional execution with national business strategy. 4. Leadership & Reporting Recruit, train, and mentor regional sales team members. Report regularly to management on regional performance, key account status, and opportunities. Prevent any waste and ensure dealer visits adhere to a visit cycle to prevent ad hoc visits where possible -Ensure dealers debtors books is controlled, all payments to vehicle stock within the required policy time frame. Independent dealer's vehicle stock is as per floorplan/ sinosure parameters. All vehicles invoiced to customers to be settled within 48 hours of the date of invoice. Ensure Asset Vehicle Management on approved Loan and Demo unit usage within the Region adheres to agreed usage and timeline parameters. No overdue usage allowed. Ensure adequate return assessments are carried out and reported. Dealer Support Visit dealers in region at least four times per year dependent on dealer size and provide adequate feedback per visit template report including client branding and highlight any areas of concerns for further attention and resolve Assist dealer to develop business plans to have a workable plan in place with measurable to improve all the aspects of the business within their area of responsibility. Follow ups on agreed action plans to be evaluated monthly/quarterly Assist dealers to resolve any relevant business problem they may face. Using the PDCA cycle to ensure actions are workable collect any problems and help through the client head office with countermeasures to protect the brand. Collaborate with internal marketing team to ensure all marketing efforts are successfully implemented at the dealers to promote the client brand awareness and leverage sales Monitor customer compliant resolution where necessary to positively manage the brand Assist branches and dealers to obtain and retain key accounts by visiting them on alternate dealer visits as per schedule.
