Location: Free State (Bethlehem / Vrede) A well-established and expanding animal feed manufacturing operation is looking for an ambitious Sales & Marketing Manager to drive brand presence, lead high-performing regional sales teams, and accelerate growth across the ruminant and monogastric segments. Why This Role Matters: You will sit at the heart of the businesss growth engine, shaping marketing direction, leading regional sales execution, and influencing decisions across product, pricing, supply, and customer engagement. Your leadership will directly impact market share, customer loyalty, and revenue growth. What Youll Be Doing: Lead, inspire, and develop a team of field-based sales agents operating across multiple regions. Drive sales performance through clear targets, strong coaching, and hands-on leadership in the field. Translate business objectives into powerful sales and marketing strategies that deliver measurable growth. Identify new market opportunities, strategic customer segments, and priority regions. Ensure consistent pricing, messaging, branding, and positioning across all sales channels. Oversee brand development, product launches, packaging, and marketing campaigns that support sales momentum. Act as a trusted partner to key customers, engaging at a senior level and resolving escalated issues where required. Represent the business at farmer days, trade shows, and industry events, building visibility and credibility. Collaborate closely with Technical, Operations, and Procurement teams to align supply, forecasting, and customer demand. Drive technical and product training for sales teams and key customers. Analyse sales data, market trends, and competitor activity to guide decision-making and strategy refinement. Manage the sales and marketing budget with a strong focus on return on investment. Deliver clear, insight-driven management reports with recommendations and action plans. What Were Looking For: BSc (Agric) Animal Science or a similar agricultural qualification. A deep understanding of animal nutrition and the animal feed environment. At least 5 years experience in a senior sales or marketing leadership role, ideally within agriculture or animal feed. Proven success in leading, coaching, and growing sales teams. Strong commercial awareness with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Fluency in Afrikaans and English. Confident negotiator with the ability to influence, lead change, and build lasting relationships. Sales & Marketing Manager Location: Bethlehem / Vrede, Free State A well-established and growing animal feed manufacturing business is looking for an experienced Sales and Marketing Manager to take full ownership of brand strategy, marketing execution, and regional field sales performance across the ruminant and monogastric sectors. This is a key leadership role for a strategic thinker who can combine strong technical insight with compelling market execution to drive sustainable business growth. The Opportunity: You will lead a team of regional sales agents, shape national and regional marketing initiatives, and work closely with technical, operations, and procurement teams to position the business as a preferred partner in a highly competitive agricultural market. This role offers visibility, influence, and the opportunity to make a measurable impact on commercial performance. Key Responsibilities: Lead, coach, and manage a team of field-based sales agents across multiple regions. Set, track, and achieve sales performance targets, including volume growth, market penetration, and customer acquisition. Conduct regular field visits, performance reviews, and one-on-one coaching with sales agents. Review and approve weekly and monthly sales reports, ensuring accuracy and strategic alignment. Drive the identification of new business opportunities, strategic accounts, and regional growth priorities. Ensure consistent messaging, pricing alignment, and brand positioning across all sales activities. Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy aligned with business objectives. Oversee product branding, packaging, launches, and marketing campaigns to support sales performance. Support high-level customer engagements and manage escalated client matters when required. Represent the business at farmer days, trade shows, industry events, and stakeholder engagements. Build strong strategic partnerships with key industry players and influencers. Collaborate with Technical, Operations, and Procurement teams on supply planning, forecasting, and customer demand. Provide ongoing technical and product training to sales agents and key customers. Lead internal training initiatives to ensure that teams remain informed on industry trends and sales best practices. Manage the sales and marketing budget, including return-on-marketing investment. Deliver monthly management reports with insights, progress tracking, and strategic recommendations. Analyse market data, customer behaviour, and competitor activity to inform decision-making. Minimum Requirements: BSc (Agric) Animal Science or a similar agricultural qualification. In-depth understanding of animal nutrition and the animal feed industry. Minimum of 5 years experience in a marketing or sales leadership role, preferably within agriculture or animal feed. Proven experience managing, motivating, and developing sales teams. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Fluency in Afrikaans and English. Key Competencies: Strong leadership, coaching, and people management capability. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Analytical thinking with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Strong customer focus and relationship-building ability. Deep understanding of the agricultural customer environment, particularly livestock and feed producers. Confident negotiator with the ability to influence strategically and resolve conflict.
