About the Role
As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective management and maintenance of our fleet of vehicles and assets. This is an exciting opportunity to join Craven Cottage CC as a Fleet & Asset Manager, where you will play a critical role in optimizing fleet capacity, reducing downtime, and improving overall efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the carrying out of a wide variety of tasks related to planning, managing, supervising, and coordinating fleet management activities
- Manage the effective running and maintenance of the Fleet of Vehicles and assets of the Group
- Conduct regular checks on vehicles to ensure they are in good running order
- Monitor and report any downtime or repairs to maximize fleet capacity
- Book vehicles for services nationally both externally and in-house when services fall due
- Implement regular service intervals to optimize functioning and minimize pollution
- Maintain and repair operational assets to ensure maximum lifespan and utilization
- Improve efficiencies on motor vehicles, including:
- Better fuel consumption
- Statistics on individual vehicles showing improved performance and lesser cost of maintenance
- Address any vehicle accidents and IODs that may occur
- Organize and install tracking systems on new vehicles
- Conduct regular inspections of vehicles for physical damage
- Ensure compliance with legal environments regarding roadworthiness
- Maintain all vehicles have a valid license
- Ensure all fines are up to date as per the Fleet Policy
- Register all vehicles in the company name
- Continuously evaluate fleet processes and systems to improve efficiency
- Create and evaluate flow diagrams for effective controls and efficiency of workflow
- Evaluate process flows every six months and assess efficiencies
- Develop a detailed procedure for vehicle operations, including:
- Daily checklist
- Weekly checklist
- Monthly checklist
- Update the asset register per property on a quarterly and annual basis
- Ensure all colleagues who use company vehicles have signed the Vehicle Policy and adhere to the Fleet policy
- Communicate the brand identified for the Fleet at all Properties
- Implement feedback loop regarding service delivery in Fleet Management across all Properties
Requirements
- Grade 12
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Logistics and Fleet Management
- Experience working with commercial vehicles
- Strong mechanical knowledge
- Sound administration skills
- Own transport essential
