About the Role
Join a growing financial services organisation based in Gauteng, where accuracy, compliance, and client service are key priorities. The Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day accounting functions across multiple companies, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile general ledger transactions
- Prepare and post journals
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Assist with tax calculations and compliance requirements
- Maintain accurate financial records for multiple companies
- Assist with month-end and year-end reporting processes
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external service providers
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Education: BCom Accounting
- Experience: 12 years experience in an accounting role
- Practical exposure to tax and VAT submissions
- Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Experience with accounting software (advantageous)
