Johannesburg: AR Coordinator

Company and Job Description: An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Accounts Receivable Coordinator to join the Finance Control Team of a fast-paced, multinational franchise business. This role is key in managing the end-to-end receivables process, ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and strict compliance with financial standards across a rapidly expanding African network. Youll work closely with franchisees, internal departments, and the wider finance team to deliver high-quality financial reporting and maintain strong internal controls. Key Responsibilities: Manage and monitor receivables across 16 African countries Oversee collections and ensure timely follow-ups in line with internal credit policies Ensure adherence to the Allowance for Doubtful Accounts (AFDA) policy Reconcile major income streams, including: Royalties, licensing, and franchise fees (initial, renewal, and transfer) Advertising and supply chain contributions Franchise trade recoveries and third-party agreements Investigate and resolve account queries while maintaining professional relationships with franchisees and internal teams Support the monthly and quarterly close and financial reporting processes Identify and implement improvements in billing, automation, and internal controls Job Experience and Skills Required: 2 – 4 years experience in Accounts Receivable, Finance Operations, or Reconciliations Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance Exposure to international or multi-market environments is advantageous Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Experience with JD Edwards or other ERP systems preferred Apply now!
