About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Branch Accountant to join our team in Johannesburg, East Rand. As a key member of our branch, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial health and stability of our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate IFRS-compliant financial reports
- Manage fixed assets, debtors and creditors
- Perform reconciliations
- Oversee stock control, branch risk and expenses
- Ensure accurate general ledger and journals
- Monitor cash sales and stock counts
- Support junior staff
- Ensure policy compliance
- Recommend process improvements
Requirements
- BCom Degree in Accounting or similar
- Minimum 3 to 4 years’ experience as a branch accountant within the motor industry
- High Attention to details and Accuracy
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Team Player
- Confident and proactive approach — anticipates issues and requirements
Qualifications
- Code 8 driver’s licence
- Clean criminal record
