About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our team in Johannesburg. As a business analyst, you will be responsible for uncovering business truths and guiding projects from ambiguity to clarity. You will utilize your expertise in tools of the trade, including user stories, use cases, wireframing, UML/SQL, Agile/Scrum, SaaS platforms, and data visualization tools.

Job Description

The Business Analyst (BA) will serve as the critical link between business stakeholders, ICT teams, and service providers. The role ensures that ICT initiatives are aligned with s strategic outcomes, enabling digital transformation, improved service delivery, and enhanced public participation. The BA will analyse current ICT capabilities, identify gaps, and translate business needs into actionable ICT strategies, architectures, and roadmaps. Key Responsibilities ICT Landscape Assessment Conduct comprehensive reviews of ICT architecture, infrastructure, applications, systems, governance, security, and staffing. Map current ICT capabilities against s business needs, service delivery models, and strategic priorities. Assess digital maturity, including business intelligence, cloud adoption, cybersecurity, and data governance. Review SAP modules (ERP, FICO, MM, ESS/MSS) and identify misalignments with industry standards. Evaluate the Business Continuity Plan and recommend improvements. Benchmark ICT practices against global and public sector standards (COBIT, ITIL, TOGAF, ISO frameworks, Government ICT Policy Framework, Public Sector CGICTF). Stakeholder Engagement Facilitate structured consultations and workshops with Members, ICT staff, Executive Management, and business units. Capture stakeholder requirements, pain points, and aspirations for ICT transformation. Translate stakeholder insights into clear business requirements and ICT strategy inputs. Expertise in business process analysis, digital transformation, and public sector ICT. Skilled in stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and requirements gathering. Ability to translate complex ICT concepts into clear business recommendations. Qualifications & Experience Bachelors degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum 57 years experience in ICT business analysis, strategy development, or enterprise architecture. Experience in public sector ICT environments preferred.
