The Role As a Counter Sales Representative, you will be the first point of contact for customers entering the store. Your role will focus on understanding client requirements, recommending suitable solutions and ensuring a professional and efficient purchasing experience. This is a customer-facing, fast-paced role that requires confidence, product knowledge and strong attention to detail. You will also assist with inventory monitoring, system updates and maintaining a professional store environment. Key Responsibilities Customer Interaction & Sales Welcome and assist customers entering the store Understand customer requirements and technical specifications Provide immediate and practical product solutions Resolve customer complaints and product-related queries professionally Deliver excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction Process payments accurately Inventory & Store Management Monitor store inventory and report discrepancies Assist with stock control and product visibility Ensure the store and workspace remain clean, organised and professional at all times Administration & Systems Update customer information in the computer system Maintain accurate records for future reference Support retail and sales administration processes Minimum Requirements Matric (preferably with Higher Grade subjects, especially Mathematics C) Valid drivers license and own reliable transport (essential) Minimum 2 years experience in Counter Sales, Sales Representative or similar role Technical interest in engine or electrical systems advantageous Strong selling, negotiation and communication skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong numeracy skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel essential) Computer literate and comfortable using retail software Professional appearance and strong work ethic Target-driven, motivated and confident Ability to work under pressure and independently Good time management and organisational skills Strong relationship-building skills and openness to feedback What Makes You a Strong Fit You are: Confident and customer-focused Solution-driven and proactive Comfortable working in a technical retail environment Detail-oriented and organised Motivated by sales performance and targets A team player with the ability to work independently Why Apply?
