About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and service-driven Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team at our luxury game lodge in Vaalwater. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency across our facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily housekeeping operations and staff performance
- Recruit; train, and motivate housekeeping staff
- Conduct inspections of rooms, public areas, and facilities to maintain quality standards
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linen, and equipment
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
- Provide excellent guest service and promptly address requests
- Report maintenance issues and maintain accurate records
- Regular interaction with guests, suppliers, trainers, and internal teams
Requirements
Proven experience in a supervisory or senior housekeeping role
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Proficiency in commercial cleaning techniques
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Computer literacy (MS Word & Excel)
Physical stamina to perform inspections and supervise operations
Valid Code 08 (or higher) drivers license
Flexible hours aligned to group arrivals, departures, and training schedules
High on-site presence required
