About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Creditors and Payroll Administrator to join our team in Kew, Johannesburg. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing our accounts payable and payroll functions, ensuring accurate and timely payments to suppliers and employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Full creditors function from invoice receipt to payment
- Capture supplier invoices and credit notes on Sage Pastel
- Reconcile supplier statements monthly and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare and process weekly/monthly payment runs
- Liaise with suppliers regarding queries and payment terms
- Ensure correct allocation of expenses and VAT compliance
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier records
- Process monthly payroll accurately and on time
- Capture and verify employee hours, leave, overtime, and deductions
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (PAYE, UIF, SDL, etc.)
- Prepare payroll reports and summaries for management
- Handle payroll queries from employees confidentially
- Maintain employee payroll records and documentation
Requirements
- Matric (essential)
- Relevant accounting/payroll qualification advantageous
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in creditors and payroll
- Proven experience working on Sage Pastel
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation and accounting principles
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English (spoken and written)
