About the Role
Diverse Consulting Solutions is seeking a skilled Digital Software Cloud Infrastructure Engineer for TechOps to join our team in Johannesburg. As a permanent, remote position, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining secure and scalable cloud environments in Azure and AWS. If you have a strong background in cloud engineering, DevOps, and a passion for delivering reliable, secure, and efficient cloud solutions, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain secure and scalable cloud environments in Azure and AWS.
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Service (IaaS).
- Support hybrid cloud and on-premise integrations where required.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and monitoring of infrastructure resources.
- Implement containerization and orchestration solutions (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, AKS, EKS).
- Set up cloud monitoring, alerting, and logging using services like Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, and third-party tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Analyze and optimize cloud resource utilization and cost efficiency.
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies.
- Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory security standards.
- Manage IAM, RBAC, policies, and encryption to secure cloud environments.
- Perform regular security assessments and implement best practices.
- Provide Tier 3 support for cloud-related incidents and performance issues.
- Document designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
Requirements
- Matric certificate essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Administrator Associate (preferred but not essential)
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional (preferred but not essential)
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) (preferred but not essential)
Salary & Benefits
Monthly Salary: up to maximum R60 000 per Month full cost to Company. Please Note: A Pension Fund of between 4% – 11% of your Monthly Salary will be deducted from your Monthly Salary, which is mandatory for all employees, the full amount would also be deducted from your Monthly Salary – this is not negotiable.
