Job Summary
Key
Responsibilities:
– Manage all driver training and development (self-drive & carrier work) – Manage internal & external driver training programmes – Manage all administrative function related to driver training – Plan and execute training schedules at various depots – Ensure all drivers are fully competent prior to entering the field – Develop electronic training material and videos – Manage and development of driver performance – Reporting on Training and Assessments conducted – Conduct site and route assessments Qualifications and Skills Required: – Minimum Gr. 10 – Previous Training experience will be advantageous – Medically fit – Ability to work with technology Driver assessments done via electronic platform – Valid Code EC License with PrDP – Experience in the transport industry will be advantageous – Excellent communication skills – both verbally and writing – Sound general mechanical knowledge of trucks & trailers – Must have own transport
