Job Description

About the Role

Coordinate and plan the training and job evaluation of Drivers to improve driver behavior and reduce overall transport expenses. Evaluate and eliminate risk at customers sites through onsite training.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate all new potential Drivers for WastePlan.
Assess all new potential Drivers for WastePlan.
Document and report on the progress of drivers being trained.
Train new Drivers on correct completion of the electronic vehicle and trailer inspection sheet.
Train new Drivers on the correct use of the vehicle tracking system.
Train Drivers on accident and damage procedures.
Train Drivers before using specialized vehicles.
Train Drivers on the manifest and weighbridge procedures.
Planned Job Observations: Daily supervision of assigned Drivers and monitors to ensure proper and consistent performance of duties.

Requirements

Matric / grade 12
Minimum 3 years working experience in a similar role, or show significant potential for the position.
Valid drivers license for the level at which you will be teaching.

Qualifications

Valid driving instructor’s license or certification
Clear driving record
