About the Role
Join a well-established organisation with an international footprint, where you will work with complex transactions, foreign currencies, and cross-border financial processes. As a Financial Accounting Team Lead, you will lead a finance team within a stable, growing environment, gaining exposure to international suppliers, global payment cycles, and multi-currency accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and mentoring the accounting team
- Managing the full creditors, debtors, and general ledger processes
- Handling foreign suppliers, Forex payments, and international reconciliations
- Preparing accurate month-end, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
- Overseeing the cashbook, fixed assets, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting audits and liaising with external auditors
- Implementing process improvements and supporting operational teams where required
Requirements
Relevant Finance Degree (essential)
Completed SAICA articles OR a solid auditing/reporting background
Experience within manufacturing / distribution / importing environments advantageous
Strong technical accounting knowledge and full accounting function exposure
Experience with international transactions, foreign creditors, and Forex
Strong understanding of month-end processes, reporting, and compliance
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications (if applicable)
