About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client, a leading mining company, is seeking a skilled General Manager to join their team in Modderfontein, Gauteng. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in management and experience within the mining industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Determine and allocate resources accordingly.
- Communicate business objectives to the team and closely monitor performance against these objectives.
- Take accountability for continuous improvement of the region.
- Consolidate reporting requirements for the region.
- Ensure timely invoicing.
- Manage budgets and improve revenue within the region.
- Monitor the work area to ensure a safe environment is maintained and all safety rules are followed.
- Manage the region’s financial performance to ensure a quality product is provided at the least possible cost.
- Exercise judgment based on data and logic within set parameters and guidelines.
- Anticipate a broad range of problems and develop solutions.
- Implement a BBBEE strategy to meet company targets.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree
- Business Management Qualification (advantageous)
- Minimum 10 years management experience
- 5-8 years experience in a similar position within the mining industry
