Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Geologist with strong field and exploration expertise to join a dynamic project based in the remote North Jungle region of Congo. The successful candidate will play a key role in mineral exploration, geological mapping, sampling, and resource evaluation in a challenging but high-potential environment.
Minimum Requirements
- Master of Science (MSc) in Geology or related Earth Science field
- 58 years of professional geological experience
- Proven experience in mineral exploration and/or mining geology
- Strong field mapping, sampling, and data interpretation skills
- Experience working in remote or harsh environments (advantageous)
- Proficiency in geological software (e.g., Leapfrog, Surpac, ArcGIS or similar)
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed geological mapping and interpretation in exploration areas
- Plan and execute drilling programs, including logging and sampling
- Analyse geological data to support resource estimation and targeting
- Prepare technical reports and present findings to senior management
- Ensure accurate documentation of field data and sample integrity
- Collaborate with engineers, drill teams, and exploration managers
- Adhere to strict health, safety, and environmental standards in remote field conditions
